The Foreman, a Merchant & Mills pattern

NZ$33.00

Merchant & Mills has just brought back the men’s Foreman jacket by popular demand. As you can see, it’s got lots of options for pattern hacks in a range of fabrics and styles.

Inspired by traditional workwear of the early fifties, the practical and hardwearing Foreman is an unlined utilitarian jacket. This jacket has been cut and designed for a man but clearly can work for many.

The Foreman features a boxy cut, two-piece sleeves, a neat square collar, two hip pockets and one breast pocket. Can be optionally top-stitched in contrasting thread.

This is a multi-size pattern, with sizes ranging from 36 – 46. Merchant and Mills also has put together a hack of the pattern that grades it for a woman’s shape.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern at 1.5cm, unless otherwise stated. You will need 4 buttons approx. 2cm/20mm diameter.

Note: The lengthened Foreman shown is a size 38 at the shoulder graded out at the underarm/side seam to a size 42 and lengthened to a finished length of 110cm.
