Anna Knickers from Frankie & Ray can enable you to make your own knickers from a lovely piece of lightweight, woven fabric. (One idea: Liberty!)

As Jo notes, these knickers are not a bikini style, they’ll cover your bottom, and they’ve got a low leg line. The pattern has three variants: an elastic leg knicker with a choice of a hip height rise or a below natural waist rise, or a French knicker.

Because they’re cut on the bias, these knickers have plenty of wearing ease.

Separate full multi-sized pattern pieces are provided for the French knicker and the elastic leg knicker. The dimensions are as follows:

X Small - to fit full hip to 93cm

Small - to fit full hip to 98cm

Medium - to fit full hip to 103cm

Luscious - to fit full hip to 108cm

X Luscious - to fit full hip to 113cm

XX Luscious - to fit full hip to 118cm

Full hip is the measurement of the fullest part of your hip - usually around or just below your hip bone.
