Our current batch of tailor’s clappers carved by John Robertson of Wood and Chisel comes from a walnut tree that had a long, long life - around 100 years.

If you’ve never used a tailor’s clapper, you’re in for a treat - and so are your seams. Use a clapper to make the most of your iron’s heat and steam.

These beauties are 170mm long, 34mm high and with a width that ranges from 50mm to 70mm. John has carved grooves through the middle for ease of handling.
