ITO Nui is a gorgeous spun silk thread ideal for sewing, quilting and embroidery in a range of glowing colours.

The spun silk has a soft sheen with two plies twisted to a thickness of 2/60 NM (30 wt). The glossy, slightly pearly texture lends itself beautifully to surface designs like quilting, free motion embroidery, applique, top stitching or outlining. ITO Nui will produce strong seams and is a sustainable alternative to polyester thread.

Each spool contains 80m and is suitable for hand or machine embroidery - but please test on your machine first. ITO recommends a spool stand or thread holder so that the yarn can wind vertically from the spool. For machine embroidery a 75/11 embroidery needle is recommended, and for machine sewing a 90/14 universal needle is suggested.
